Working from home in Cape Coral means competing with canal views and afternoon sun, so this Cape Harbour homeowner wanted an office that was both productive and pleasant. Gustavo designed an L-shaped desk that wraps two walls, giving generous surface area for dual monitors, reference materials, and a dedicated workspace for writing and drawing.

The desk and built-in bookcases are constructed from natural maple melamine, chosen for its light, warm tone that keeps the room feeling open. Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves line the adjacent wall with adjustable shelving on 32mm European-standard pins, allowing easy reconfiguration as book collections and storage needs change. Lower cabinets include filing drawers with full-extension slides and a cable management chase that routes power and data cables behind the wall panel, keeping the desk surface clean.

A desk-mounted grommet provides access to a power strip and USB charging station concealed below the surface. The entire build was completed in two days on-site, with all components pre-cut and edge-banded in our Naples shop. The homeowner now has a quiet, organized workspace with a clear canal view through the window — and no visible cords.
