Garage Storage System near Mackle Park, Marco Island

Marco Island homes often come with two-car garages that quickly become catch-all storage zones. This homeowner near Mackle Park wanted a system that would organize tools, sports gear, and seasonal items while freeing up floor space for both vehicles. Gustavo designed a wall-mounted solution that keeps everything off the ground and easy to find.

The system features grey melamine overhead cabinets with adjustable interior shelves and soft-close doors. Below them, commercial-grade slatwall panels span the full back wall, fitted with hooks, baskets, and brackets for bikes, fishing rods, and hand tools. A custom workbench with a butcher-block top and lockable lower drawers sits in the center of the layout, providing a dedicated workspace for projects and repairs.

The entire installation was completed in a single day. Because the cabinets are wall-mounted with heavy-duty French cleats, they stay secure through storm season and can be repositioned if the homeowner’s needs change. The grey melamine finish resists humidity, won’t yellow over time, and cleans up with a damp cloth.
